Pickups come in all shapes and sizes. Americans love the utility and freedom that owning a pickup provides. This 1976 Jeep J10 Honcho truck is a bit unique and one that you don’t see everyday. The J series pickup was built from 1971 to 1988 with the J10 and J20 designation starting in 1974. It is located in Phoenix, Arizona and is listed here on Craigslist. The seller states that this is an unmolested original and it appears to be well used. The asking price is $9,950.

The bright blue Levi’s Jeans interior is kind of a shocking contrast compared to the red exterior. The seller says this is original but it is obviously well worn. The truck appears to have aftermarket gauges under the dash. The “Honcho” trim package was offered by Jeep from 1976 to 1983. It included exterior decals and striping and the Levi’s interior. A roll bar was also optional. The Honcho package included the wide track look offered on the Cherokee Chief. It was available on stepside and short wheel base models only. Over the course of its production, 1,264 Honcho package trucks were manufactured.

The most unique feature of this truck is that it was built with the large 401 cubic inch V8 engine. The 401 cubic inch V8 engine was rated at 330 horsepower and 430 lb ft of torque. This engine was offered from 1974 to 1978 and was considered a powerful and yet reliable motor. This example has an automatic transmission but a manual transmission was also available. This truck is equipped Quadra-Trac and automatic hubs as well as power steering and power brakes. Quadra-Trac was a full time 4 wheel drive system.
