43K Miles: 1973 Buick Lesabre Custom
Ah, the seventies, a period when you could get just about any color car you wanted. If you could even get a color like this today, it would be on something like a Kia Soul or Nissan Kicks. This is what Buick called Green-Gold Metallic. My dad had a 1973 Buick Lesabre Custom also in color almost as unique, Jade Green. If you’d like to see these colors and the other colors offered on a 1973 Buick, click here. Here is a 1973 Buick Lesabre Custom Hardtop Coupe (2 doors) available here on Craigslist in Georgetown, South Carolina. Thanks to Barn Finds reader Ikey H. for letting us know about this one.
There was still a sporty flair to General Motor’s full size 2 door hardtop in the early seventies, unlike the more formal rooflines used by Ford and Chrysler on their 2 door hardtops in 1973. This car is given further sporty looks with Buick road wheels. Other options this car has is front fender mounted light monitors and black vinyl roof. This is an all original car and the body and vinyl top appear to be in great condition. This car stretches for 224.2 inches. Maybe that’s why the seller couldn’t get a picture of the entire car in a frame except for two shots from the front and rear.
Due to some of the unusual colors offered, there wasn’t always a good color choice interior to use. While the exterior and interior are both green, they are different shades of green that slightly clash. This interior features a bench seat covered in cloth in the seating areas trimmed in vinyl. There are no rips on the seats and no cracks in the dash.
This is the standard 350 cubic inch engine with 2 barrel carburetor. I can’t imagine how slow this car is, because my dad’s, which had the 350 with 4 barrel, was the slowest performing car I ever drove. This car has the standard Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. But this car has only 43,535 miles. The seller is asking $10,000 for this nice example of a 1973 Buick Lesabre Custom. Any interest out there?

I love green-on-green and every car doesn’t need a blueprinted big block, so I’d be a buyer but probably not for ten.
What a great cruiser, Perhaps the interior wouldn’t clash as bad if it had a dark green vinyl top. Even those with color on the outside these days the interiors are still dull.
Wow. Clean, clean, clean!
Clean!
Nice car. At that price, someone will be wanting it for fair-weather weekend jaunts, not as a DD. I hope that it is still this nice in another decade…..
I had a 71 sedan in the same green but off white interior and vinyl top. Yup that 350 was slow. Dad bought it new and I took over on 82 it still had bubble wrap on the back seats.
Nice ride but twice what I would pay…would be a great Sunday cruiser….
Beautiful car, but the 350 2bbl was a dog motor, lol. My dad had a ’69 LeSabre 400 with the 350 4bbl and it was okay. He also had a ’72 Delta 88 with the 455 Rocket V8 engine and that thing had some get up and go!
Way back in the day, we had a ’74 Century Luxus with the 350 2-bbl and it was a total dog. Our ’72 Charger with a 318 2-bbl was at least 2 seconds quicker to 60 mph by our informal stop watch, and it couldn’t even break 100 mph. I can’t imagine how it’d perform with 500 extra pounds of LeSabre strapped to it.
Still outlast 2 or 3 Kia Souls at 6k more each, travel in comfort, class and dependability. 10k don’t buy half this today. Nice old ride. What’s the hurry!!
I really like the car. The price, not so much.
3 seed automatic , but what kind of seed , lol nice car price is good for nothing to do on a car that dont break down , and you dont see these anymore
My grandmother had the Delta 88 version of this with a 455, and it was still slow.
