43k Miles! 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 4X4
The Chevrolet S10 Blazer may look a bit petite in size when compared to its full-size big brother counterparts, but for those who wanted more of an SUV it fit the bill nicely when the 4-Door version was introduced as a 1991 model, and it was a decent road hugger too when equipped with four-wheel drive like this 1994 example for sale here on eBay. If you’ve been in the market for a nineties Blazer and favor the S10 styling, this one’s nicely preserved and probably worth checking out. It’s located in Denver, Colorado, with the buy-it-now price set at one penny shy of $20,000. But if you’re finding the asking amount a bit optimistic, there’s also the opportunity to submit an offer.
Reader T.J. spotted this Blazer and sent it our way, and we’d like to thank him for the tip! The seller describes this junior-edition Blazer as being in mint condition, a rather strong proclamation, and not an easy word for most nearly 30-year-old vehicles to live up to. However, it’s said to be all original and garage kept, with the white paint still having strong color, and I’m certainly not finding much to fault on the outside regarding the finish. Even the stripes appear to have held up well, and that big spare tire on the back looks new but because of its size seems like the main focal point when you view the Blazer from the back. I might consider something like this from Covercraft to conceal it.
The mileage is listed as only 43,000, with everything we can see inside appearing to live up to the expectations you’d hope a well-cared-for vehicle with this few miles would look like. We don’t get to see the back seat, but things up front seem to be in tip-top shape and the rear cargo area appears to be good as well. The factory AM/FM/Cassette unit is still in the dash, and with that EQ was probably a rocking sound system for its time, plus all of the inside components are stated to be in working condition.
Under the hood, the engine compartment looks a lot like it would have when the Blazer was new in terms of cleanliness. The seller says it drives perfectly and the 4WD works just fine, plus even the smog equipment is functioning as the exhaust just passed an emissions test recently. I’m not sensing much not to like here, but I’d probably at least try to offer a bit less for the Chevy since the seller has thrown us that bone. Based on the condition and mileage, what do you think is a reasonable price to pay for this one?

It’s nice, I’m just not sure it’s $20k nice
It’s not a 4runner so 20k is too much. Still nice. My father bought a new one in 85. Underpowered, electronics all failed, front was looser than a Kardashian but it was reliable and never left him walking.
20k?No way! I’ve seen these with sbc 350 swaps that were half the money or less.looks like 6 or 7k tops.
I love these 80’s-90’s era midsize pickups and SUV’s, especially the S10 Blazer and the Ford Bronco II’s. The 4.3 V-6 is a great engine and will run forever if maintained properly. I had a close friend back then who had an S10 Blazer with well over 200k miles that still ran well. I also had a friend that owned a ZR2 Blazer and that thing was an off-road beast.
Having said that, I think that $15k is all the money for this one. They aren’t what anyone would call rare, but they are excellent trucks that drive nice and can get around in the woods just fine.
Bought 2004 blazer extreme. $10K w/ 100K miles. Looks and runs like new. $20 for this one is way too much.
I had a 96 Blazer LT it was loaded with ever option including sunroof. The 4.3 Vortex engine was fantastic. I used Mobil 1 oil and it ran up to 350,000 with the same transmission. I changed the fluid on the trans ever 40,000 miles. I loved the truck. I stop the tin worms from advancing but couldn’t stop the exhaust manifolds from falling apart. Rust on the bolts. Exhaust leaks nobody wanted to fix it. Cost was very high when I did find someone. oh well I sold it. This truck is in beautiful shape but for $15,000 max. Good luck to the seller.. 🐻🇺🇸
Looks like the seller is an auction, store returns seller. 28 negative very bad Ebay comments for the past 12 months. So, with the paper temp tags, this appears to be flipper. Certainly not worth $20,000. Maybe $7-8,000 at the most.
12 to 15 k tops, I have a 92, and pretty much restored it, but 20 k for that one is to much, good looking blazer though
I had a 92, bought in ’04 for $4k off a lot. Tough little thing but a pain, injector hoses melted, electric 4WD shifter went out like clockwork, changed fuel pumps as often as the engine oil, it ate brake pads, hinge pins and window motors and always had a phantom drain. Wasn’t kind to batteries. Plus the cruise control went nuts occasionally, causing crashes. This is a really nice example but I wouldn’t pay any more for it than for the Cutlass from the other day.
I am with Kevin on this one. I had a 94 one of these and just about everything went wrong. The ABS was so scary if someone stopped quickly in front of you it would drag out your stop so long you would almost hit them. The EGR valve kept carboning up and would stall the engine when coming to a stop and then the power brakes wouldn’t work. Had to replace two transfer case motors. My wife refused to drive it after the ABS and stalling scares. Final straw was when it threw a rod at 150K. Treated it with kid gloves too ….
