2022 Spring Classic – Lucky Collector Car Auctions
If you’ve never been to a classic car auction (or any live auction), put it on your bucket list. More and more auction houses are going to online-only auctions, but check it out if you can find a live auction somewhere. The atmosphere and live bidding are different than any other form of sale. June 4th and 5th is the Spring Classic auction hosted by Lucky Collector Car Auctions in Bremerton, Washington. We’ll highlight some of the most unique vehicles but you can check out the full list here on LuckyOldCar.com,
This 1972 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser appears to be a nice driver-quality example of the classic SUV. The ad says it is in great driving condition. It has the stock running gear, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There is also a statement that says it has “typical corrosion.” The floor looks a little bit like Swiss cheese. There are replacement sheet metal parts available in the aftermarket, but hopefully, it isn’t too big of a project. The interior appears to be bone-stock with the exception of maybe new seat covers.
How about something completely opposite from an FJ40? This 1915 Ford T-Bucket roadster looks like a very fun ride! I can hear the cackle of the side pipes just by looking at the photo. It appears to be a very high-quality build with nice paint, tons of chrome, and a nice interior. The engine is a 389 cubic inch Pontiac V8 from 1962. It is topped by two 4bbl Edelbrock carburetors and looks great. The custom interior features a “15T” on the floor, which is a cool touch. Overall, this looks like a blast!
How about a classic BMW motorcycle? This 1956 R-60 is a really handsome machine. It features an air-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine. It measures 594cc and has overhead valves. The transmission is a shaft drive. The ad doesn’t say if this bike is original or has been restored, but the odometer only shows 63k miles.
This bright red 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia looks like a fun little sports car. The engine compartment is pretty clean and looks to be in good condition. It appears that routine maintenance items have been done. The interior is black with a woodgrain dash which compliments the red exterior very well. Overall, a pretty cool VW. What do you think?

Weird seeing old BMWs in a color other than black.
“…put it on your bucket list….’
Nooo thanks. 2 things ruined the hobby car guy’s persuits. On-line sales, auction sales. NOW they combine to really kill it. Deepest pockets (often world wide) “win”. No longer a supply’n demand market.
I usedta hit the junk yrds, pull out something’n ‘bring it back’ (to life). Now (in my area) everythinh 10 yrs old and older has gone to the crusher.
Signed,
Grumpy Ol Man

I love the live efforts and so often they feature a sleeper bargain. Quite a selection with price points for cheap to big dough. Regioanl auctions are often “the way”
Thanks for bringing the auction to our attention
By the way the auction will be held at the LeMay Marymount site in Tacoma Washington not in Bremerton Washington
