BF Exclusive: 1937 Studebaker Dictator
From Dennis Z – I have an extremely hard to find 1937 Studebaker Dictator Business coupe. It has less than 40,000 original miles on it and has not been touched or altered in any way. This is about as close to an untouched car there is – only 2 previous owners in all these years.
It has spent most of its life stored and cared for. The lacquer black paint is original and has some cracking, but that can be expected on a car this old.
There’s little to no rust (running boards show there age) and the body and undercarriage are beautiful.
Glass is all original too. There are wide white wall tires with the proper wheels and hub caps.
It runs like a top and shifts like it should.
The interior retains the original Mohair cloth, headliner, floor mat, and trunk mat.
It comes with the original bill of sale, title, paper work, brochures, maintenance books, and tool kit/jack/etc.
This car is a real head turner and is sure to go up in value. Try to find a 1936, 1937 coupe anywhere. They are very rare especially in this condition. Please do your homework before contacting me. Health issue forces me to sell. You will not be disappointed though as this car belongs in a museum!
This beautiful Studebaker is located in Valley Center, California and Dennis would like to get $30,000 or best offer. You can contact him here via email if interested, but please only do so if you are a serious buyer. Thanks for listing this with us Dennis. If any of you are trying to sell a vintage car, please give us a shot!

Looks like the original owner was a fastidious engineer. The presentation of the tools in the trunk is mind blowing! And if that is the original paint on the gas tank….
This car is just beautiful, it’s like a good looking woman, a head turner all around. There is no bad side to this car, it truly is a timeless ride. Unfortunately for everyone, the name was a precursor to bad times for all. Easily the best Studebaker I have ever seen, it is top notch , if I had 30k, it would be mine.
Excellent car Dennis. Good luck with the sale.
Looks like that gas tank has been redone fairly recently. Beautiful car no doubt about it. If it was a full classic it would be worth double the asking price, now he’s at the high end of the spectrum. I had an all original 36 Packard 120 coupe, and the problem with these all original cars is that interior and wiring are really getting brittle (sp?) But those cars are very important for the future as an example how they rolled of the line.
A time capsule for sure. Cars like this are few and far between. Best to keep it as is; preserve it and DRIVE it. Very nice!
WOW JUST WOW this is a prime time survivor. I love it. Makes me glad for the barn find time capsule I just bought Barnfind Betty
wonderful car thank you for sharing. Wish I had the funds and space. Love the lines on this I could just sit and stare at that car. Fun to have a giant man cave and have this just sitting in the middle.
This is a great Car- just wow.
Wow. Wish i had 30kg. So it was on the way to Scandinavia.
What a beautyfull car.
The best coupe in long time, here in BF.
I love coupe models from end 30′ to 50.
My absolute dream car…
Thank for sharing….
Very nice, and they don’t come much more Art Deco than that!
Wonderful machine; un-restored is my favorite. The interior seating material is not mohair, however. Most likely wool, possibly broadcloth.
Beautiful Binder Eric! I love it!
Possibly wooly mammoth.
This is a lovely Studebaker for sure!
You say this coupe has not been “touched or altered in any way” but you have obviously added turn indicator lights. 30K is all the money. Anything else you neglected to mention?
It was that way when I got the car.
Picky picky there bob la mar. Bit of the green eyed monster creeping in?
