READER AD: 1929 Harley-Davidson Solo
Update 7/3/2019 – We just heard from Jacque and his Father’s Harley sold a couple of days after we featured it! Congrats to him and the new owner.
What Makes It Special? My dad purchased this 1929 Harley D Solo year 1931, and he rode it for several years before it’s was pulled apart for an engine rebuild. It was passed down to me when he passed away. It has been parked for over 65 years. I have the original title still in my father’s name and is signed.
Body Condition: As you can see, it needs lots of work, but it’s all here.
Mechanical Condition: My dad had taken the motor out to replace the piston and never reassembled it back, but it’s complete. The engine number is 29JDH11076.
Seller’s Listing: Here on HDMotorcyclesForSale
It looks like Jacque G’s Harley is going to be a big project, but when was the last time you came across a 90-year-old Harley that has been with the same family for 88 of those years? Be sure to take a closer look at this bike and make Jacque an offer!

Are you sure the Harley listed on HDMotorcyclesForSale is not a scam?
The same one was sold in Martinsville, Indiana recently.

It could be a scam Jeff, but Barn Finds charges $50 bucks for the ad. Although with any good sting, it costs money to make money. Take care, Mike.
Same pics in the same garage… good find.
https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23804/lot/229/?category=list. Bonhams sold this 2 year’s ago for 20g’s. I think if the rusty one got 10g , someone got ripped.
I think you meant to say Harley Single? Not solo
Complete rebuild!! All the parts are there or so it seems!! I hope it’s not a scam!!
Just one pic as far as I can see, so where is the motor and anything else that was removed from the frame?
A little over 30 years ago, I bought a 1919 Harley for $100. About 6 months later, a guy somehow found out that I had it and offered me $1500 for it. Like a dummy, I sold it to him. How I wish now that I researched it. I think about it now. I must have been brain dead at the time
Given this situation, I would put the $11,000 toward a nice preowned Harley, of which there are many!
Amen Swaybar!
The bike was listed on chopper exchange 2 years ago by a broker, But the bike never get sold, due to the high price which the broker listed it.
I have to relist it myself and try to get it sold.
I will do a short video clip of all the parts available and upload it later.
Thanks
Where is this motorcycle located, I would like to come and view it and all the parts?
