Two-Owner SUV: 1972 Chevrolet Suburban C10
If you are in the market for a mildly tuned and custom 1972 Chevy Suburban C-10, then you will want to give this one your attention. The asking price is $11,000 and while the vehicle is currently in Peoria, Illinois, the seller claims that it is originally from Texas, where it spent most of its time. It looks like it could be a fun classic SUV to cruise in, with plenty of space for the whole family. The seller has a clean title for it, so it’s ready to go to a new home. You can find it here on Craigslist.
Mechanically, the seller says this truck has a 350 cubic inch V8 that has had a “mild” customization. They do not exactly specify what that is. That is connected to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. This truck has power steering and power brakes. They do say it has front and rear air conditioning as well, but it is not operational. There are drum brakes on the rear and disc upfront. One photo shows the underside of the truck, which looks reasonable.
Inside is a pretty plain interior. The seller says they have put seat covers on and installed seat belts. Safety first is a good thing. They have also put new weather stripping around the doors and a new ignition switch. Whatever is not shown in the photos on the inside, the seller says they have all the interior parts and panels, which the original owner had taken out. The only thing they don’t have is a headliner and original front spindles.
Even though the truck runs, the seller suggests adjusting the carburetor and performing a general maintenance tune-up. They are also open to offers if you are keen on negotiating. This one is going to be open to individual interpretation. The current owner intended to restore it, not really finding the former owner’s modifications fitting. However, maybe you see it and like it as it sits. To each their own, but this truck should be able to find a new home.

Cool Suburban, a little updating including wheels and losing the cowl hood, some interior work and it would make a great cruiser!
Yeah…. open trash can, insert wheels, replace with something classy and period correct.
Sure the heck beats mom picking the kids up from soccer in a mini van!!!
Well at least its already got a sbc in it..I actually like this barge…I’d drive the crap out of it as is
And why is there no rear door on the driver’s side?? Were they built this way or was just that door welded in?
They were built that way.

a lot of these were used as school buses. no door on driver side to control the kids
Almost looks like the predecessor of the Ford Flex.
Nice unit.
Gotta be worth 2500.00 ?
