1K Mile 1988 Ferrari Testarossa For Auction

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

This Testarossa presents a rare opportunity to own a flat-12 powered vehicle with an odometer reading of only 1k miles. This example came with an exterior finished in Nero over a beige leather interior. The Ferrari is accompanied by its original duffel bags and tool kit. Its new owner will have the chance to drive this ’80s icon in a nearly brand-new condition. Set at no reserve, this Testarossa will be auctioned by Mecum Auctions at their Kissimmee 2025 event on Friday, January 17th. Big thanks to Araknid78 for the tip!

With an impeccable exterior condition and legendary profile, this Testarossa will be turning heads everywhere it goes. The car is registered as a historic MSO, so if the new owner wants to truly enjoy this car on the backroads, they will need to register it in their name. Styled by the famous Pininfarina team, the car comes equipped with silver five-spoke Cromodora alloy wheels, customary pop-up headlights, and the quintessential Testarossa grated side intakes.

The car’s beige leather interior appears to be in like-new condition and is consistent throughout the car. A satisfying gated-shifter sits between the two “tombstone” style seats. The roomy car is fitted with power windows, a three-spoke black leather wrapped steering wheel and brown leather dash. The speedometer measures up to 200 MPH which is a testament to how beastly this machine is.

A brutal 4.9-liter flat-12 pushes 380 horsepower to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The Testarossa was designed with both function and beauty in mind. The car feels like a race car with a grand tourer spirit. Comfortable, yet incredibly thrilling to drive. The car’s overall condition reflects its meager 1,045 miles. Its next owner may choose to preserve the car’s current state, but I think we all would like to see what this car can do on the road at least a few times. If you believe you are the right person to look after this monster of a machine, place your bid in Kissimmee.

Nice colour combo. I’ve never really liked the cheese-grater sides, but this one wears it well – if I was “forced” to drive one, it’d look like this. I seem to recall James May (of “The Grand Tour”) stating that the engines in these cars aren’t actually real boxers, they’re technically 180-degree V12s.

The stuff of adolescent and hedge fund captain’s dreams. What a magnificent automobile. Although 385 hp doesn’t sound like a lot Sara duly points out that this car is a beast. A car you must learn to master before you can get the most from it.

Odd how short the lower seat backs are.

Some barn find. More like a vault find.
