V8 4-Speed: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
A 4-speed muscle car in any aspect is always hard to ignore. Little information is divulged about this ’69 Chevrolet Camaro in the eBay ad, but it would appear that this car has wound up on a tow lot with no title. With that being said, there are some pros and cons to this muscle machine, but it would seem that the pros outweigh the cons as there have been 49 bids on this car. Bidding is currently sitting at $13,600. Check it out here on eBay out of Englishtown, New Jersey.
Wearing 327 badges, this V8 Camaro appears to be fairly sweet under the hood. There is an aluminum intake, an aftermarket carb, and even fancy valve covers and headers. The catch is, the condition of the engine is unknown. The seller has not attempted to start this Camaro, but it would seem that at one point in time that the engine was well looked after. I see blue painters tape on the spark plug wires, so perhaps there was an ignition issue at one point in time. Either that or the previous owner just wanted to label his wires. Manual brakes aren’t my favorite to stop a muscle car, but they work well enough I suppose. The 4-speed manual transmission is a jewel, and would surely make this a fun drive.
From afar, the interior doesn’t appear too shabby. A few split seams, a few vinyl curls on the door panels, but overall the interior looks reasonable. There are a couple of aftermarket gauges installed, along with a plethora of wires in the driver-side footwell. A decent cleaning and a few zip ties would go a long way to clean up this interior.
While very brilliant, the exterior is a bit of a heart breaker. There are several places where surface rust is present, and it is evident that many of those places suffer from pitting, and perhaps even pinholes. I do think that this car could be saved, as there does not appear to be any blatant rot on this Chevy. The trunk floor is solid, but you will see that there are many bubbled areas on the exterior. Other than a small ding on the passenger front corner, this Camaro appears quite straight. With great curb appeal and a stick shift, will you join in on the bidding for this Camaro?

I remember street racing one of these… I was a young man and cut a whole in the hood and added a couple Carb spacers so it stuck out of the hood with the air cleaner just cause I thought it looked cool.

These can take a corner very well with modern radial tires – expecially if it’s a lighter than a small block 6 cylinder camaro with lighter weight 4 wheel manual drum brakes & no a/c & 27lb cheapie walmart battery.
So after reading the Ebay site one wonders if this car has a title 😂. (No title. No title No title listed)
It looks okay but not sure if i buy it was in a barn routine. In future maybe a couple bails of hay in the back yard with one spread out to infer barn floor.

a sweet spot for them..
There’s more bubbles on this car than at a Lawrence Welk show (I’m curious how many people will get that reference)….the body has been reworked at least once…I can smell the bondo from here…pass….

Seller purposely listed the trim tag numbers as a vin number on ebay to throw people off from the real vin number . Vin is 123379 which means this camaro was born with a 6 cylinder engine . And not a 124379 as he has indicated using the trim tag information on ebay. Another fraudster !
My friends nephew bought a 68 Comaro off of ebay. The pictures made the car look really nice. The saler gave a long list of lies what he done to it. The buyer bought the car–buy the salers word and had the car shipped to W.Va. Then he decide to take and get the oil changed and all the fluids checked out.That is when he found out and saw the news papers and bondo in the car. Now its in a body shop.All tore apart and getting all new metal put in it. Alot of salerS don,t realize. Its called fraud and anytime money is done buy wire transfer–is a felony. Don,t get taken-watch yourself and don,t fall in love with the PERTY SHINEY PAINT.
Amen, Johnny, so much fraud out there it’ll make your head spin. Its taking the fun out of it. Caveat emptor. All I ever bought was low priced fixeruppers and had no problems, would never buy a high priced car without an insp And stay away from eBay’s inspection, friend bought a 68 gto and they said it was fine, Cracked frame, lo compression on 2 cyls, bad tranny, and rust, all this on a 20k car.

Hmm Englishtown…methinks this might be a Copart salvage car as they are using the old drag strip property for storage. Expect the worst. Good luck. Could even be a flood car.

Interior shows evidence of being flooded at some point in it’s life. Look closely at the door panels, the two aftermarket gauges, the trunk floor, and the spare tire. Plus no title, as several have mentioned. Agree, more bubbles than Lawrence Welk on this one. Run, not walk away form this one.
Plus along the rain gutter and dirt high up on the carpet. All these problems mentioned and no title? I see they found some one who was in too big of a hurry . Plus all the bidders—seems like someone was having people bid on it to raise the price. Too many questions for me. I was gonna buy a 65 Mustang. The guy sent pictures,but none of the under neith the car or hood. I talked to him on the phone and he lied about it. I believed him. Hired a man with his trailer .To haul it back if I bought it. Got their–it was down in his garage with a very steep entry. He said the motr and trans misson was stuck. Plus his son-in law and him put a new carpet in it. I asked if I could raise the hood.He said sure. Raised it and look at the drivers side shock tower–rusted bad,. Then I asked if I could look under neither it. Sure go ahead. Their was a hole on the drivers side you could put a basket ball throw and the only this I saw hold the car together was the matal and thin piece of crome on the bottow. He was asking $3,500. I told him all I seen woth anything was the trim ,glass and interior. The rest was rust and if anyone tried taking it out of his garage ,It definitel would break in too. The top side pictures–looked great. He got mad because I wouldn,t buy it. He said he put his time aside to wait for me. I asked him whta the hell did he think I felt? I wasted my time and money to hire a guy to haul it back. And if he didn,t like it. That was his tough luck. We came back and two night later I bought a 77 Fire bride in alot better shape for $1,300.and I drove it home.. Look around and don,t get in a hurry. It pays too.
