The Top Barn Finds Of 2015!

Each year it seems like there’s no way there can be any more amazing barn finds left to discover, then a whole bunch of incredible finds come to light. So, let’s take a look at just a few of the top finds of 2015! And don’t forget to let us know which ones were your favorite this year in the comments below.

#5. This is definitely not our typical kind of find, but whoever said a barn find can’t have wings? You probably won’t find another Mustang quite like this one in a barn near your home, seeing as it’s a 1944 P-51 Mustang, but you never know. It shared a roof with a 1950 Tempco Swift and a Merlin V12 engine, so it really was an amazing and unusual find. You can read more about this find here.

#4. For the third year in a row, one of the top finds is a dealership full of classics. This time it’s a supposedly abandoned BMW Dealership in Canada. Obviously, there’s more to the story, there always is, so I will just let you read more about it here.

#3. Reader Rich G tipped us off to this junkyard liquidation sale in Vermont, where they were asking just $500 per car. While most of the vehicles are parts cars, it looks like there are a few gems here worth saving. If nothing else, it’s worth looking at simply for the sights. Yards like this are quickly disappearing, so we are glad we are able to catalog it before it’s gone forever! You can read Jeff’s article about it here.

#2. This find inspired us so much so that we actually created a shirt to pay tribute to it. The Sunken Samba is the kind of find you hear stories about and dismiss as tall tales, but someone really did find a rare VW Samba Fjord and they did in fact get it running again! It’s an amazing story, so be sure to check this one out here.

#1. This find gave new meaning to the term “trailer queen”. Rather than being a pristine overly restored car that gets hauled on a trailer to events, these finds were left in trailers and haven’t moved since. You can see what all was stashed in these truck trailers here! Our thanks to Jersey Joe for sharing this incredible discovery with us.
