Reserve Lowered: 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
This blue beauty is a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. It has been recently relisted here on eBay due to a nonpaying buyer. That has got to be a frustrating experience to think a car is sold and then the buyer doesn’t follow through. This Z28 is located in Oakdale, California and is said to be a rust free, straight Camaro Z28. The car is currently bid to $13,600 with 3 days remaining in the auction. What do you think this car will end up selling for?
Under the hood, the numbers-matching LM1 350 cubic inch V8 engine (5.7L) runs smoothly and is backed by a turbo 350 automatic transmission. From the factory, this engine produced 175 hp and 275 ft/lbs of torque. Recent upgrades include a new master cylinder and power brake booster, along with aftermarket performance front brake calipers and rotors. Additionally, the car sports brand-new, correctly sized all-season tires (P225/70R15). I have found on my own second generation F bodies that using the tire size that the suspension was designed for results in the best ride and adequate handling. But some people like to go with fatter tires and that is understandable.
This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is said to be and appears to be in excellent condition. With the mild climate of California, this well-maintained Z28 boasts a rust-free exterior, indicative of garage storage and avoidance of salty roads throughout its lifetime. With 104,000 original miles, the car remains in impressive shape, supported by comprehensive documentation stored in a 3-ring binder. Inside, the cloth interior mirrors the exterior’s condition. The dash is not cracked and the seats and door panels look nice and are not faded. Since it is a Z28, the car has fully functional factory gauges. A recent addition of a JVC Bluetooth radio can’t hurt the driving experience with modern connectivity options.
Externally, the vehicle is said to be free of any evidence of accidents. Despite its 20+ year-old paint job, the exterior still looks good. While minor flaws such as chips and imperfections exist upon close inspection, the overall presentation remains pretty impressive. This Camaro Z28 has a clear California title and the car is currently registered and compliant with California smog regulations. The seller states that it passed the smog test just 500 miles ago at the first of 2024.

The car currently resides in California but was sold new in New York. It’s plate was issued late last year, my car has a number (9HUN) which was issued last November, this cars (9HRT). It’s also a very low option car, which might not be important to a new owner, but it’s nice to have AC on a dark car. It looks nice, but a thorough inspection would be wise.

The owner can contact me if it doesn`t sell. I live in Manteca, 50 minutes away. I will share contact info if interested. John
If I had the money, that thing would be down here in SW Fl, and the first thing to go is the cat. 🔥⚡️⚡️
Great car for someone who wants a nice looking car to drive.
SOLD. Someone hit the 16K BIN button.
Ebay should be able to go after these people or start legally starting a reneg fee..of about 1000 dollars..
Or, you could suspend the account, ban it if they do it multiple times.
