After glancing through the photos, and then noticing the price, this fully restored 1956 Chevrolet 3100 shortbed stepside seems to be almost too good to be true. The BIN price is only $19,500, which is an incredibly good deal for the condition of truck you are getting. It is located in Polk City, Florida the listing notes that the truck has a clean title, the VIN listed, and 28,999 miles stated. You can find the sweet rig here on eBay.

According to the listing, the 235 cubic inch, inline six-cylinder engine starts each and every time and has no irregular noises, smoking, or leaks. There is no specification on whether the truck is equipped with the 3 or 4-speed manual transmission. All that is mentioned is that it shifts well. There are photos of the underside of the truck and it is completely rust free. It has a new clutch, tires, battery, and front disc brakes.

The seller says that “interior is complete and presents itself extremely well” and I completely agree. The photos show a warm brown bench seat with solid floors, clean door panels, and a beautiful dashboard. They say that the glass is great shape all around. Apparently, this truck has won awards because there are a few trophies that are included with the sale, along with extra parts, and complete manuals.

This truck is absolutely stunning all around. The silver paint is in great condition and since it is a ’56, it is the last year for the egg crate grill. There is no word on when the truck was restored, but the seller mentions that they will send more photos upon request and that they do have video evidence of it running and driving. If you are interested in a clean older truck, you might have found the best chance this summer.

According to EBay, this truck has been sold already

Based on the shifter’s close proximity to the seat, and evidence of a column shift having been removed, I’d say it has a 3-speed that has been converted to floor shift.

If the truck has been sold and was presented honestly, it would seem that the buyer got a decent deal.

IMO one of, if not the best truck designs of all time. Brings back a lot of memories.

I’d actually prefer the small window. Yes, you get better visibility with a big window, but less glass area means the cab will stay a bit cooler.

Nice! I would take this home and have some fun with it. Being a stickler for original, I would probably be tempted to find some original wheels and a set of those pointy hubcaps so I can have people ask me if I plan to change the wheels to some fancy ones. A six and a manual, I sure wouldn’t want to change anything in the powertrain…

Have a 57 like this. It is a little nicer, but I paid $24K. This was a really good deal for someone.
