Ready to Drive: 1970 Chevrolet C-20
Nearly every generation of Chevrolet’s C/K Series pickup trucks is seemingly still on the road today, whether they are a cruiser, workhorse, or combination of the two. With that said, this 2nd-generation 1970 Chevrolet C-20 that Barn Finds reader local_sheriff found here on eBay is an all-original driver that would make an excellent purchase for anyone seeking a classic truck.
This C-20 is available in Esparto, California with a clean title. The seller mentions the truck is a mostly original example with some new parts, and the exterior reflects that. There are some minor imperfections and areas of expected wear, but overall, the truck is very presentable and the dark green color suits it well.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find a matching color scheme. Except for some wear on the driver’s section of the bench seat, the interior is in good shape, and the woodgrain accents on the doors nicely contrast the rest of the very green cockpit. Additionally, the truck features creature comforts such as power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning.
Under the hood, there’s a rebuilt 350 cu.-in. V8 engine, which benefits from a heavy-duty clutch, new motor mounts, and other upgrades. The 350 pairs to a 4-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels, and the seller mentions the truck is “fun to drive with lots of power.” Last but not least, the 5-digit odometer shows 9,311 miles, but it has likely rolled over once.
The Buy it Now price for this truck is $5,500, and the seller requires a $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the vehicle’s purchase. Could you see yourself cruising in this California-located Chevy?

That’s a pretty good deal not a bad looking truck
Wow that does seem like a good deal. Only 36 miles from me! If it’s still available in the AM I might go look at it.
I really want one of these trucks!! I’m on the ice coast and I’m sure it will cost $1000 getting it back here!!! Maybe more!!!
Paying 1k for having a Cali 4spd truck sent in your direction can’t be the worst investment if you want such a truck… especially if your alternative is spending the same amount(probably more) to fix a rusted out sibling…
Very good point local sheriff and the more I thought about it and how bad I wanted that truck I realized I should have done it!! That’s the second one that got away from me!! I’m not going to make it a third!!! Sometimes it takes a reasonable person to open your eyes!! Thanks for your insight!!!
Tim; ask me how I know… It’s usually smart to sit on the fence, however sometimes we just have to hit the BIN and take a chance. Been there, done that…
Happy hunting!
Nice minty fresh engine paint, great rattle can action here!
If it’s anything like represented it’s a heck of a deal.
I would have happily hit buy it now at $5500 but too late.
Somebody got a bargain.
Soooooo where’s the a/c compressor
sold
I thought that one would sell quick…..great truck for the money
The best Chevy p/up, I have a C10 with a 307 and SWB stepside I have just fitted a TKO 600 Tremec and Holley sniper Fuel injection and I have installed CPP power steering and a new CPP tilt steering column I also built my own hard cover for the tube so this truck is a blank canvas and I’ve got to add I found it here on Barnfinds, so l hope I’ve encouraged someone to take this and improve the hell out of it
Hey everybody, I bought this truck!
@Tim and @local_sheriff I bit the bullet and hit the BIN button. I’ll let you all know how it goes.
It looked like a great truck for the money, looks like you got a bargain!
