Seller’s Description: You are looking at Wayne Lyle Cody’s 1938 Privateer Hill Climber. His motorcycle sat untouched in the shed for over 50 years miraculously preserved in its original configuration all the way down to the original tires he competed with. Lyle successfully competed in Hill climbs throughout the Midwest during the 1940’s and 50s. The motorcycle runs and is fully functional. The gearbox has only two gears 3rd & 4th, operated by a lever on the right while the left foot operates the clutch. The engine as modified by Lyle is 1200cc, with lightened flywheels, High compression pistons, Wico chain drive mag, innovative wet sump oiling system, reground cam, and exposed valve train with grease zerks.

Included with the sale will be:

Lyle’s spare set of 1940 cases (also modified for wico mag),
2 of his original Harley Davidson jerseys,
Lyle’s trophy from the Iowa state Championships,
Lyle’s competition leathers,
Lyle’s Helmet with lifetime AMA Pin (painted pink by his son in the 70’s),
