Serious Centurion: 1997 Ford F-350 Centurion
If you aren’t familiar with the work of Centurion Vehicles, allow me to summarize it: they made enormous trucks even more enormous. The most famous and perhaps most common Centurion conversion is the “Centurion Classic,” the apparent love-child of an F-series crew-cab and a Bronco. Reader Eric H. sent us this 1997 F-350 that has been converted into something of a limousine. This truck could be one heck of a tow vehicle for a large family or a racing team! If you have ever wanted the biggest truck available, but all of the factory made trucks aren’t big enough, this F-350 could be exactly what you’re looking for. Find it for sale here on craigslist in Pennsylvania with an asking price of $13,000 or best offer.
Because this F-350 has had an additional cab section installed, Centurion has installed additional seats. This truck can now comfortably seat 7 including the driver, with front and middle captain’s chairs and a rear bench. Though the headliner looks a little worse for the wear, the seats look to be in excellent condition for 20 years and 166,000 miles. The seller states “There were very few 6 door F350s made. I was told 24 but have not found any documentation.” I have also not found any documentation, but I do know that Centurion Bronco conversions can be found relatively easily, while I have only seen one of these 6-door trucks in person. In case you are unfamiliar with Centurion Vehicles’ reputation, it is a legitimate company well-known for top-notch Ford truck conversions. Their build quality is said to be near-factory in appearance and durability, and were the go-to company when a customer needed a truck that just couldn’t be had from the Ford factory.
This F-350 is equipped with the 7.3 liter Ford turbo diesel and reportedly runs great. The seller has just recently had a new transmission installed, as well as new brakes and a master cylinder. The seller states “All gaskets replaced and had the engine checked. I made sure it stays in tip top running condition” and that it pulls a 13,000-pound camper with no problems. This F-350 is also set up for a fifth wheel trailer and has many other amenities. From the photos, this truck looks to be relatively rust-free and very well-maintained. Considering many report seeing these sold for upwards of $50,000 brand new, the seller’s $13,000 asking price could be reasonable especially when a brand new truck of comparable ability costs three times that. Do you think you could handle a truck this big?

Could be use for weddings in certain parts of the country in place of a limo.
I guess the tranny was changed out in a pit. Kinda makes service a chore when you don’t have a hoist that would take that
I am curious what “a brand new truck of comparable ability costs three times that” might be.
Are there any brand new six door full size trucks out there?
There is/was a company in Nebraska or somewhere near that makes 6 & 8 door fords from new.

-Six door ones near the middle of the page and a little further down. This truck is a very good deal compared to new prices.
Vegas anyone?
How about Cannonball?
Who’s got the fuel card?
“Crew Crew Cab Cab”
Love it!
I like their van/pick up better esp the one w/3 doors on pass. side & 1 on the other. (2 co.s made them but this co.’s is better).
I don’t believe the nice engine wuz in any of em (?460 standard?). This motor would be ideal (power & MPGs).
Any 1 know what transmission is in this vehicle?
I like the van/pick up better (esp the 4 door – 3 on pass. side 1 on other. 2 co.s made them – this co’s is better).
I think all these vehicles had a 460. This is a better engine (power/MPGs) but he may have eaten the trani after the swap-in. Need the correct match up (B4 buyin).
Give it a make over and use as a specialty hearse. 6 doors, 8 foot bed…room for family, the departed and flowers.
I think it would be popular in the South-Southeast, Texas, Montana, Wyoming…
No need for a sleeper …. lol and wow if these back two rows fold down you’re set with a queen size.
What’s the turning radius of that thing?…….Nebraska?!?
I seriously badly wanted a Centurion Econoline pickup conversion after seeing this one locally back in my car buying days. Hell, if I could find one with a 7.3 turbo and a new tranny I’d still consider one.
Reference to weddings must mean anywhere near New York City? …and just what would you guess the combined city/highway mileage on this beast would be?
Gotta love dem stax!!!!
Only thing I would do is yank that 7.3 and drop a 12 valve Cummin’s in it really make it run Nice
Being that it is still in nice shape, that would abominate the originality.
Glad to see it’s got the 7.3l. My ’97 F-350 is pushing 400,000 miles and still runs like new!
What’s behind door #3? My mother-in-law.
Double crew cab?
Team cab?
Perfect combo pall bearer car and hearse for a red neck funeral.
Triple cab!
(I never knew such an animal existed until I saw this!)
Where I live in Texas, the bigger the truck, the more likely the young lady driving it will be attempting to back into a space at Kroger. This I would like to see in this truck.
My Wife would not even try to back this truck up. She would call for me to do it.
It looks like six smart cars packed together
Wow
