Salvage Yard Liquidation: Vine Grove, Kentucky
Reader C. Jay L recently let us know about a salvage yard that is going out of business and the owner is clearing everything out. What doesn’t sell is destined to be crushed, so I asked C. Jay to get us more information about the yard. I don’t know what all is left, but if you are in the area, it might be worth stopping by to see if you can pick up any parts or projects cheap! The yard is called B&W’s Auto Salvage in Vine Grove, Kentucky. If anyone is near by, we would love to know if there is anything left worth buying! Special thanks to C. Jay for this tip.

Those Porsche alone should be worth $200K….. if they have titles.
Does that mean they’re worth $199,000 if they don’t have titles?
I live in KY, but not near there. However I posted it on my local BMW club Facebook page.
Left out in the heavy weather, these Porsches may not ever be roadworthy! But. Maybe some good parts remain.
You can build a new car from sheet metal around the serial numbers these days. It is not worth while yet but that day is not too far off for really early cars like the green one.
If it is a 911, has a title, and air cooled it will be rebuilt at today’s prices.
There is another guy near there in Radcliff, KY who has a bunch of GTOs and some other mid-’60’s cars. He may be ready to sell some by now. If anyone is in the area it would be worth checking out. I worked in Radcliff for several months 8 years ago. Just south of Ft. Knox.
Is that an actual picture from the yard?
do they have a invtory list of what they have and prices
No inventory or price list.
Oh – by the way – the Porches are gone.
There is an “s” in Porsches. You are talking about house attachments.
lol
That’s why I couldn’t find them on Google earth.
I had to make sure.
The Porsches have been sold. That was a photo from early in the year from the yard.
Wow. Not too far from me. Would’ve liked knowing about this place. Also near Ft. Knox so probably lots of funky foreign stuff.
That would make it the “Soul Train” of junk yards and their mantra could be “We got that Funky Foreign Stuff all up in here”…and they could pipe Parliment Funkadelic throughout!!! Thanks for the mention Jubjub
