Success Story: 1959 BMW Isetta 300
We just heard from Jeanne that her late husbands Isetta is officially sold! She listed it here on Barn Finds as an Exclusive, hoping it would go to someone capable of restoring it. You can view her ad here. The only thing we love more than sharing a good barn find is helping it find a good home! We want to thank Jeanne for trusting us with it and hope that the new owner keeps us posted on their progress.
From Jeanne – Happy to let you all know that the 1958 Isetta 300 was sold this week! Thank you so much for listing it and helping me find the right person to take my late husband’s project on.
Sincerely,
Jeanne

Well done guys. It’s nice to know that your efforts are truly appreciated heh? Lovely little car and should give the new owner many happy hours restoring and driving it.
This had to be the only Isetta ever registered in the great state of Alabama.
I was thinking that too. :D
What a neat little car. Good luck to the buyer as parts must be a challenge for these.
I saw one when I attended Auburn University, 1978-82.
Interesting. it is the proper color too for Auburn, isn’t it?
It’s nice that I can come here everyday and get my fix of rare cars and browse the classifieds. Unlike that other site that used to show cars but now just auctions them off.
And the humor!
Glad to hear you enjoy what we do! It’s a ton of work, but it’s all worth it when we hear that we found a good home for a classic like this Isetta or that we helped someone remember a fond car related memory!
Good things happen to good people.
They not only “just auction cars off” but if you dare to point out a blatant lie or mis-representation in one of their auctions – they will kick you off! Go ask Randy what happened to one of his prolific commenters, and repeat seller – BRAKESERVO!
Hi guys!
Beautiful cars, I live in South Africa and I went to visit a client in the Umhlanga area and to my surprise when he opened up the garage there stood a beautiful I settable in yellow and white restored to its original state.
Good luck with restoration to the new buyer.
Best regards
Steve
The humour is priceless.
@Ken Tilly: Have you seen the new
electric version of this car? Saw one
on YouTube not long ago and it was awesome! Didn’t care much for the
huge headlights though they take away
the car’s pleasingly simple lines. Would
like to do one as an EV, but I’d use a basket case and not a complete car.
no frank don’t know where you live but i grew up in mobile and the roan brothers of big3 motors were new dealers in about 59-63 in mobile and as a teen ager i wanted one so bad as they were advertised over waoa tv constantly. they were quite popular in the area. they were also new dealers for renualt dauphines and 4c-v my favorite. they had numerous lots all around mobile and were big time used car dealers as well. great times
@Ron- Very cool! Thanks for the information. It does sound like great times.
Congrats. I hope the Isetta has gone to a loving home…
