Stash Of Field Finds In Wyoming

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

It’s amazing how often we go right past stashes of classic cars and don’t even know it! At least that’s the case with this field find that reader Ted J recently sent us. You see, these cars are sitting just outside of Casper, Wyoming on a stretch of road that I frequently traveled while in College. I had to have driven past this place at least a hundred times and never knew it was there! At this point, Ted doesn’t know much about them, just that they have been out here for a long time.

For those that have never ventured through Wyoming, there was a time when field finds like this were everyday occurrences. Unfortunately, most have either been sold out of state or crushed. While these ones all appear to be in rough shape, it’s surprising they haven’t already gone to the recycler.

There do appear to be a few finds here that would be worth restoring, or at the very least part out. We don’t know if any of these cars are for sale though, but with any luck the owner of this place would be willing to let a few go before they are all beyond saving. I sure wish I would have known about these when I still lived in Wyoming, even if it was just to take a look at them. If you happen to live in Casper and know more about this stash of field finds, please let us know! And special thanks to Ted for sharing this find with us.

It seems as though a few members complain more than they should about everything under the sun. Just feel fortunate that we have Barn Finds, otherwise we would never know about these amazing finds, oh and thank you Jessee and the rest of your team for providing this service.

Hi Josh, do you happen to have the information of the previous owner of that 1962 GMC 3/4 ton with the 8ft bed you featuredin 2016, as I believe I actually own that truck now, which has been restored to be a driver before I bought It and I am trying to find the history of this truck.

I think Larry’s right. Plenty of complaints, poor photos, nagging about flippers, don’t like this or that, a lot of negatives. Start looking for posivitives in life, there’s plenty of negatives without looking for them.
    God bless America
