Swans Invade Monterey Peninsula

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

It has been over a week ago since this pair descended on the famous golf course known as Pebble Beach. These swan cars may not be what you would expect to see cruising around such a ritzy place, but they were there for a reason. They were attending the 2012 Concours d’Elegance and we had a photographer on the ground to caught all the action.

Besides helping us realize why the heck Aston Martin named their silly runabout what they did, these carnivalesque cars provided plenty of laughs. Complete with glowing eyes, steam spitting beak, and white-wash squirting bottom, this mother swan and her cygnet could be two of the most outrageous automobiles to ever attend the Concours. And people thought it was a big deal when they let hot rods in!

For all of us who were not lucky enough to attend, we will be running a series of posts covering all the events that Brad was able to cram into the week. For those of you who were in attendance, we hope this serves as a nice remind of all the memories made during the biggest automotive week of the year. Enjoy…

The concept is still here Scott. We just feature coverage of the events in Monterey every year. Since we are all car guys here, there is no bigger event for us. You would be surprised by how many barn finds show up there too. Last year quite a few went up for auction and most of the shows had preservation or barn find classes.

I think they look pretty kool. It is nice to see other vehicles that are not rusty or torn apart. Keep up the great pics.

I read that the producer of those lived in Calcutta and the beak sprayed water to clear a way through the crowded streets there
