Post Your “Want Ad” Here On Barn Finds!

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

Many readers have asked us to watch for specific cars for them, but with so many requests and so many cars to sort through everyday, the task has become insurmountable. So, we have come up with a new way to post your own Want Ads right here on the site! This service costs $25 and includes an ad that will be seen by tens of thousands of people. This is a great way to flush out cars that hasn’t been listed for sale yet or even to get the assistance of your fellow Barn Finders with the hunting process. You can use the following form if you are ready to post your ad or post any questions you may have in the comments section below. Happy hunting!

Any thought of expanding to things like parts? Know this could be large alone, maybe bigger than cars! Lots advertise what they are selling in a variety of ways/locations but other than a search there are no wanted listings that I am aware of. Just a thought.

We are open to trying it. Just submit the parts you are looking for through the form below and we will see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion Curt!

What is the ad size? Is it text-based, image-based? Can it be an animated GIF or just a static image? Can my in-house designer send you the ad or do y’all take care of the design? Where is the ad placement going to be on your site?

I just signed up but am in need of more info regarding the actual ad, please.

These work a little different than traditional print classifieds. When we run a post it goes out to our mailing list and social networks and will be seen by tens of thousands of people in a short span of time. That means you should be able to flush things out quickly. If you don’t find what you are looking for the first time around, you can always try again after a few weeks. Rest assured that we are going to work hard to make this service well worth the cost. Thanks!

Wow! You guys are really something.

When you responded that the ad would run for a week I posted how I did not think that was a good deal and suggested some changes. Now you have removed my post.

Pretty shameful that you folks feel the need to delete any criticism. If that is the way you run things, I have no interest in continuing to spend any of my valuable time to view your site. If I was interested in Admins doing the “little tin god” routine, I’d spend my time on BaT.

I guess you’ll delete this too.

Are you really interested in running an ad or are you just trying to nitpick things Steven? We deleted your comment because it wasn’t relevant to an online system like this. If you feel the need to act like a jerk, you’re welcome to leave. Our time is valuable too.

      Mr. Mortensen,

I wasn’t nit picking. I certainly would have been interested. I wouldn’t have bothered reading the post and taking the time to post if I wasn’t.

Your statement “If you feel the need to act like a jerk, you’re welcome to leave” is insulting and unprofessional. An employee or staff member of any company or organization should NEVER say such a thing to a prospective customer/member/visitor. It is even worse to publish such a thing. I own my own company and if an employee of mine handled the situation in the manner you did they would be dismissed immediately.

I am looking for a specific vehicle and have a photo of it. How do I get my photo to show instead of the want ads?
