Project Cars Being Liquidated

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

Sometimes, one person’s problem could be another person’s solution. If you are looking for a project car, this seller who needs to reduce storage costs might have a car for you. Up for sale is a collection of project cars in various conditions that are being sold on a per car or group of cars basis. They are located in Upland, California and some cares are title while others are bill of sale only. Thank you J Liu for the tip. You can view more on Craigslist.

There are plenty of pictures of all sorts of vehicles. The seller indicates that there are even more that will be listed as the ones currently shown begin to sell off. Noteworthy cars in this list that have pictures are a 1957 Chevrolet Nomad, a 1987 Corvette, a 1967 Buick GS 400, a 1966 GMC, and a 1962 Lincoln Continental.

Based on the prices that look to be listed beside each car in the description, this seller seems to be willing to part ways with the cars for reasonable offers and prices. It might be worthwhile to contact the seller to see what all is still available.

If you are looking for some station wagons, there are quite a few of them in the collection. Being out in California, the weather seems to have been kind to some of the cars sitting outside. The ones that have missing windows seem to have been cared for and covered with a tarp.

It does seem that the collection is mostly comprised of American made vehicles from the 1960s. There are a few older and a few younger sprinkled in. The seller did have a 1972 VW Bus at one point, but it is marked as sold in the listing.

There are many different sayings that can fit the automotive hobby. More dollars than sense, too many cars, not enough time, too many problems, not enough money, and the list could go on. As sad as it may be for the seller, at least they are recognizing the fact that they won’t be completing these projects and are willing to sell off the cars. They also seem to indicate they need to reduce storage fees. So, it’s a win for everyone.

Another sad tale of someone buying car after car, thinking he would ‘get to it one day’ and never did. Now he has a lot full of junk and is pressed to unload it. Seen this scenario a thousand times.

Agree it may be sad in one way but when you think of it; this owner’s hoarding saved many project cars that may otherwise would’ve ended in boneyards. Now the time has come for prospective owners to enjoy this fellow’s conservation of hobby cars, and I believe he’ll have a decent amount of $ at the end!

Or maybe a happy tale of someone who knew what was worth preserving and had the means to do it until now.

I wouldn’t call any of those cars junk. Every one of them are fixable.

      Junk cars are beyond repair.

Hey! That’s my old Consul Capri, just the way it was
when I sold it to him years ago.I gave him a lot of NOS parts with it too.
If anybody here buys it,let me know,I have some pictures of when
I picked it up,& work done on it.
I still have some pictures,& manuals, etc for it.I actually had two of
them. The other one went to Denver.

Seller knows what he’s got. I’d take the ’87 Corvette convertible that “runs dives” for $2,500.

Perfect for converting to James Bond replica Lotus.

The seller didn’t bother to register all of these cars in his name. California makes it difficult to register cars without titles, that should factor into any potential buyers decision making process.

1960 Ford Country Squire pictured, but not listed. Can’t remember if I’ve ever seen one.

It’s not so hard to get into this sort of situation. You have a couple of projects and some great deal comes along you can’t pass up and the snowball gets bigger and bigger. I have 3 projects far from complete and I just picked up a Barn Find Pacer X with original paint, low miles and a roof made of Swiss cheese thanks to a vinyl roof.
