Great looking truck! In my oldfashioned opinion, the factory headlight look is mlre attractive on ALL cars and trucks. Would love the wheels if they were a little smaller. More rubber is always better. Not to mention that thing will ride like a lumber wagon.
Rather a 4 speed auto or a power stroke put in it. Rims are cool. Look like tractor rims.
1978-79 F-250, my favorite Ford P/u. Real trucks. Had a ‘77 F-250 “Camper Special”, 390 4V. Dual tanks of course, 8 ft bed. Former owner had extra springs put in the back. Wish I hadn’t sold it.
That truck is seriously sharp. But that price tag…

This seller has been well-represented on Barn Finds of late. Apparently he takes solid trucks and does some degree of restoration on them, and then turns them loose on ebay. The trucks are typically quite attractive when finished, though not always to my tastes (for example, they usually have a lift kit plus some sort of wheel and tire package which is usually too large/aggressive for my tastes).
Seller mentions 1 of 148 in the ad, per Marti report. But doesn’t mention 1 of 148 of what, and doesn’t include the report itself.
Confused, It has an A/C compressor on it but the dash control is non A/C ??? Really nice truck though! Had a 77High Boy years ago, same color.
Probably has a vintage air setup. Or could have been dealer installed A/C.
It’s got the old-school York/York-style compressor on it so not a Vintage Air setup. Most likely a dealer-installed setup per my comment above.
You can see the vents with the controls to the right of the climate control panel – that indicates a period aftermarket/dealer installed setup to me.
A very clean F250,the price is going a little too high.239hp from the 460 is a little weak.my 72 f250 3904v” hi po”was making over 330hp and 420ftlbs of torque and with a 4.10 dana 60 out back.this truck gets the same mpg,single digits….
Absolutely gorgeous truck. Love the color. I don’t have to worry about the price cause I can’t afford it either way so I can just love it. I would love to bring that Ford to some shows and shoot the breeze with other folks. That would be fun.
as mentioned, my fav looking vehicle -73/9 F250 (I like the AH, Ambassador grill’n lights, the alpha & TD, but…) needs the short box, step side tho (4WD). The extended cab may help w/the 1 reason I dont own a 6th gen, I feel like I’m sitting at my kitchen table (body all in right angels esp ankle/knee).
Like the others – “drop the custom wheels”. I also prefer the i6 (4.9 & efi from a similar ’96) in the off rder. My B swap in the 5 speed too: in NV4600 or ZF’s S42 / 47 (all 3 w/2 PTOs).
W/this y/m/m we see the merican auto maker begin the lux0truck we have today – more chrome, more options so that a real truck (light duty) today hasa entry point of 50K$. I bought a house for that in the early ’70s. Thnx ford-has-a-better-idea (to make $) even said ‘we will no longer make sedans/coups”.
