NASCAR Casino Gaming Machine Topper

Ok, this one may get me drummed out of the oddball car hall of fame, since it isn’t a car.  This piece falls into the “garage art” or “man cave accessory” category more than being a vehicle, but it’s certainly vehicle-related. This is a Casino Gaming Machine Topper in a NASCAR theme and, as you can see, it’s a tv or monitor holder/frame. I know, it’s weird, but it’s also weirdly cool at the same time! It’s listed on eBay with a buy-it-now price of just $650, or less if you buy more than one. The seller has a few of them and they’re located in Hermosa Beach, California.

As a licensed architect and now architectural photographer for the last dozen years, I’ve been in my share of casinos over the last couple of decades, usually just before they’re officially open to the public. There’s nothing quite like the sound of being in a locked casino for two days and nights with the machines binging and bonging 24/7 with nobody else around other than a couple of cleaning people and a contractor finishing up loose ends before the grand opening. I have seen so many of these ringing, binging “toppers” that I can hear them ringing and binging in my sleep. If I were more of a NASCAR fan I would buy one of these for our freshly-remodeled garage. I think this would be super cool hanging in a nice garage with a flat screen tv in that opening. $650 seems like a great price for a piece of lighted, unusual, fun garage art like this.

Here’s a side view. The seller says that they’re about 6-feet long by 4-feet tall by 20-inches wide. I don’t know how much each one weighs but it has to be two or there hundred pounds once you have a flat screen poked in there. So, no using those cheesy drywall anchors; make sure these are anchored into wall studs! They worked, and lit up, and whatever else they did when they were in a casino, but they’ll have to be hooked up again now that they’ve been removed from whatever casino they were in. This isn’t something that we normally show here since it doesn’t have an engine or isn’t even a vehicle, but I thought that some of you would get a kick out of these. For $650, it would make a nice high-end birthday present or something for the man cave. If it was a drag racing theme or classic car theme I’d probably jump on one of them. Are any of you big enough NASCAR fans to consider something like this for your garage or man cave?

I like it, be the only one in my neighborhood to have one in my garage/man cave. Just have to wait until my wife goes to play golf, she’ll never know! Lol

Nice change of pace Scotty, I like it. As much as I like to roll the bones at the local saloon and not being in Vegas for 30 years I do not know what a Casino Gaming Machine Topper really does. As a frame for a TV it is cool. No room in my garage anymore but it is neat, thanks for posting. It seems like a lot of boring cars coming through here lately. Nice find, I am sure it will sell.

I love this. There’s JJ front and center. So tempting.
