Original Condition: 1970 Buick Lesabre Custom
Sometimes the pictures just don’t do the car any justice. I’m hoping this is one of those times. I’m thinking this car really looks pretty good. The seller says it is a very clean car. Here is a 1970 Buick Lesabre Custom 4 door hardtop for sale here on Craigslist in Yuba City, California. Thanks to Barn Finds reader J. L. for letting us know about this car.
My sister had a 1970 Chevrolet Malibu in this color combination which Chevrolet called Gobi Beige with Gold vinyl top. Buick called it Bamboo Cream. Due to the poor quality of the pictures, it’s hard to see the condition of the vinyl top, but I’m hoping it has no tears. This close-up of the rear fender and bumper area shows some paint scars. It’s possible this area of the car has had a slight bump because it doesn’t all seem to align perfectly, but could that have been GM quality of the day? The car has no dents or major scars that I can see. The tires are in good condition.
The interior picture does not show us the condition of the seats. I think these seats are probably Kenora cloth and vinyl but its possible they are all vinyl. The dash is in good condition, however. We can tell from the pictures that the Lesabre Custom has power windows and driver’s side remote control mirror. The seller also tells us that it has working air conditioning.
The engine in this Lesabre Custom is a 350 cubic inch with a 4 barrel carburetor. The seller does not tell us how many miles are on the car. The asking price is $3,300 which, if the miles are not too high, is a reasonable price for this car. It’s good to see a car like this that is unmolested and is still in original condition. Is this a car you would be interested in?

Cool find, but man, what a dull car…
See, I think way different than you, I find what’s on our roads today very, very dull! Cars had style and comfort then, that lacks today.
If I was in CA I’d snap this up in a heartbeat. It may be ‘dull’ but it’s a super cruiser, quiet, smooth, and loaded with accessories – not to mention apparently rust-free. Not totally mint but the issues are relatively minor. Compared to the 69 Fury VIP listed elsewhere on Barn Finds recently, this is a screaming buy. Spend a nice day rubbing out the paint, shampooing the interior and treating up the vinyl top and it’s a dreamboat.
Add some red lines and Buick mag wheels.
a 350 won’t move that beast
350’s moved many a car and truck in the 70’s and 80’s.
