Mystery Rod: 1932 American Austin Special

If you think it would be fun to build your own sports car, then you may want to take a look at this. Someone took a 1932 American Austin engine and frame, built a body around it, and stuck an MG grill out front. The seller claims that it is a 50s hot rod, but we think this build may have had more sporting intentions. It came from an estate sale, so the owner doesn’t know the history of the car. It is probably just a backyard build, but it would interesting if there was more too this special. What do you think? Take a look at the eBay auction here where bidding is just over $500 with less than a day left. Thanks goes to Carlos R. for the tip!

Looks like it could make a cool 50s hot rod project. Add seats doors and the other basics and drive it. :)
