Happy Halloween: 1969 Cadillac Hearse
The leaves are starting to change color and the air is starting to get crisp. The sun is setting faster and pumpkin spice is on the menu everywhere. Halloween is coming and it is the perfect time of year for a car like this, a 1969 Cadillac Hearse. No miles are listed and it has been in storage up until two years ago. The current asking price is $2,500 and it is located in Hoxie, Arkansas. You can view more on Craigslist.
Not much is listed about the engine and drive train other than it is an automatic. There are plenty of pictures of the engine. It looks to be the original engine, considering a funeral home would have maintained this car well. It is either a 427 cubic inch or a 500 cubic inch V8. Based on the pictures, it looks like they were trying to start it during the time of the photo because the air filter cap is off.
The interior is spectacular considering the age. Again, the function warrants a well maintained presence, so even being in storage, the inside is put together. The only issue seems to be with the floors. The driver side foot well seems to not be plush. That looks to carry over into the passenger foot well too. The dashboard and all the instrument panels seem to look good and nothing seems to be missing.
Overall, the car seems to be in decent condition. There is some rust, sure, but if you are looking for an aged look, more of a spooky rat rod starter kit, this is it. The possibilities are endless. If you were really ambitious you might even try to attempt a zombie infected, Ghostbuster look. A car equipped to effectively hunt and destroy zombies rather than ghosts. Ideas are endless, so start with buying the car.

472 not 427!!!
Brentton, why do you say it is either a 427 (sic) or a 500? I am just curious.
I do not call out in a field “storage”.
Yeah, one too many zeros in that ask…
