Great Hunting Rig: 1969 Ford Bronco
The winter season is just around the corner and this 1969 Ford Bronco might just be the fun that you’re looking to have when the snow arrives. Submitted by reader Dan O and found here on Craigslist, this Bronco can be had for twelve grand.
The seller provides some decent pictures of the outside of the vehicle but unfortunately doesn’t give us much more than that. What we’re able to see looks like a fairly straight body with little to no rust. The seller says that it’s a great hunting vehicle and it sounds like it’s ready to go.
A lot of mechanical work has been done which includes a recent engine rebuild of the 302 V8, a new clutch and flywheel, and some new wheel bearings. Not much information is given on the overall running and driving condition, but those would seem to be pretty good signs in moving that direction. The seller also states that the front seats have been rebuilt, which I would assume means they’ve been reupholstered.
This Bronco looks to have a decent set of tires, which makes it even more inviting to go hunting or set out to have some wintertime fun. These Broncos seem to command a higher price tag, especially when they’re in halfway decent condition. Does it seem like you could get $12,000 of use out of this one?

When I read hunting vehicle in an ad I usually take that to mean it has reached the end of its design life and is too worn out or rusty to be trusted in traffic any more.
I think it is a good old looking Bronco. Most of them today are patchwork, bondo, or big ate out rusted junk. I have a buddy that has a hunting truck, and I sometimes think he takes better care of it than his Wife’s car, it is a 78 Chevy Blazer and he has replaced the body parts, rebuilt the 350, (I did it for him), he had the tranny and 4X4 rebuilt, and when we take it hunting and gets it dirty it hit a car wash on the way home, he does not leave it dirty!

Gawd love all the early Broncos in the world! I started buying these in the early 80’s….had I known then what they would go for now? whooooo boy! I had bought this one for $500.00 in 1986…..fenders and grille missing but the tub was actually pretty solid….ran and drove besides. Still love them all
Looks good for $12k but need a lot more pics of undercarriage etc. to know for sure.
New Clones coming soon for 50 grand a pop.
You better grab this one
Nawp I believe starting at 100 grand.
Did anyone else notice the gun racks behind the seats?
