Deserted Italian: 1967 Lancia Flavia
Deserted and forgotten this Lancia Flavia looks to be remarkably solid, and features some lovely styling cues. Certainly rough around the edges, but complete enough to possibly be a road goer again. We would like to thank our reader Howie B for the submission! Priced at $4,500, this Lancia looks to be a reasonable deal. Find it here on craigslist out of Hesperia, California.
So there is some obvious damage to the front driver corner of this Lancia, but the rest of the body looks remarkably solid. The front windshield is missing, as well as a quarter glass window. It is difficult to tell if this one has been in long term indoor storage, or if it has spent a life time in the desert. Likely powered by a 1.8 liter engine, there are no real specifics about the drivetrain, other than a missing shifter. So we are assuming at the least that the transmission is in the car. The driver headlight is listed as missing, but it looks as if there are a few small things missing from this Lancia. We would be interested to see some interior pics to get an idea of what we are really looking at. Obviously this car needs to be restored, but how many items are going to have to be found to complete it?
We particularly appreciate the Pininfarina styling cues executed on the roof line down to the trunk on this Lancia. Certainly worth restoring, we think this Lancia is a reasonable worthwhile project that you may not entirely get upside down with. Who is shopping for a Lancia Flavia Project?

Besides, Lancias from this era aren’t always going to be this affordable.
Not even off the trailer….
Parts are surprisingly available for this car from Italy and the body work is minor if there is no rust. Not my choice but a really nice car from the era as a driver.
Beautiful wonderful car, left sitting with no respect. Get out your wallet for the restoration. It’ll be a very big and expensive project. Possibly worth it from the enjoyment standpoint; from financial standpoint, not as certain. But Lancias are appreciating. So maybe.
It could look like this …
Looks like its been around before – http://bringatrailer.com/2015/11/13/basketcase-1967-lancia-flavia-coupe/ and the old ad has more photos…..
Thanks for the link as it reveals much more about this poor Lancia!
More interested in the 240z behind.
