As some of you likely know, I am helping to clear out a large collection of salvage and project vehicles from a private owner. You can read more about the collection here and the second installment here. As we move ahead with the process, I’ll be listing some of the more interesting cars individually, which will also help readers see more info about specific vehicles they may be interested in. Here’s the next batch of potential projects up for grabs, which consists of several Ford Econoline and Dodge A100 projects.

What Makes it Special? Econolines have a big following, as do the Dodge A100 series vans. These are unmolested, unmodified examples, which are getting harder to find considering how popular these were in the vanning and hot-rodding communities. The floors are surprisingly solid despite their outdoor storage. This early Econoline will come with a suitable front axle despite missing one at the moment. All glass is intact, too.

Body Condition: Obviously, there is some rust on this Supervan camper conversion, but hardly past the point of repair. More of the work will be in the camper shell, which needs to be cleaned out and re-built inside to make it livable once again. The Supervan is equipped with a V8 mill that still turns over. The Dodge A100s also have all of their glass intact and with better floors than you might expect, but the RCA repair van (seen below) does have a fair amount of surface rust.

Mechanical Condition: None of these vans are drivers at the moment, but they all come with motors that ran at one time. The Supervan will turn over, and the other engines all turn freely. These are project-grade vans, so a full mechanical restoration is to be expected. The vans can and will be removed and stored near roadside for easy pickup for any potential buyers.

My favorite is definitely the old Dodge A100 RCA TV repair van. The faded RCA graphics are still visible and should absolutely be preserved if this van is restored. I’m shocked the glass is still present in all of these vans, which has helped prevent the interiors from becoming cesspools of mildew and moisture. All will be sold with bill of sale only; while a title is unlikely, it will certainly be provided if discovered. Check out all of the photos in the gallery below.
