Seller’s Description: The tiny odometer gear went out a couple years ago but the car rarely gets driven so were estimating the mileage to be around 72K. The speedometer and all other gauges work perfectly but these model Fords/Mercury & Lincoln’s were known for this issue. The interior is near perfect on this one with very few blemishes and the car’s A/C is still using the original R-12. She runs perfectly quite and smooth going down the road. Oil was changed regularly and the transmission shifts smoothly. The original radio was changed out for a Pioneer Bluetooth model and I’m sorry to say that I’ve lost the original radio so it won’t come with the car. This is only the second year for the driver’s side Air Bag on these fords. This one has the Air Bag light blinking 10 times on the dash which according to my research means it needs a new clock spring. I did not do that repair, but I did purchase a new old stock leather wrapped steering wheel since the original is worn. Since you have to pull the steering wheel replace the clock spring, I thought we’d kill two birds but never got around to it. The new steering wheel goes with the car. There is also a broken reflector on the front left which I have a replacement for which also goes with the car. The Bridgestone white wall tires were installed in 2011, and they hold air, but they are old I would plan on replacing them. She’s definitely a 10-footer in the exterior looks department. There is surface rust starting to bubble up on the driver’s side rear wheel well and the half vinyl top needs replaced/repaired. It’s just been sitting too long in the elements and it’s cracked all over. The clearcoat is beautiful on the trunk lid but its pretty much gone on all other top surfaces. I’ve owned this car since 2009 when it was purchased to be a background car on a movie set based in DC. We own several late 70’s 80’s and a few early 90’s cars that get used for these purposes and because I just love to drive them. However, this beautiful gem hasn’t been used for awhile and it needs to be enjoyed by the next person. Come and take a look or feel free to send a mechanic to check it out for you. I will not discuss offers over the phone, text or emails. Come see it for yourself then we can talk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly40KvbePEQ
