Seller’s Description: This Rare Barn Find Canadian only Mercury pickup is ready for its new home to be restored to its former glory or used as is. Its overall complete with all rare no longer produced mercury badges, hubcaps, and even the tailgate! The flathead v8 is intact and does spin over with a battery put into it and I presume it would take minimal effort for it to run, perhaps new points, plugs/wires and a fuel pump it should run! The body is in great condition and examples like it are getting scarce in Canada. The cab is very solid with no floor rust, rockers or even cab corner rust, the only rust has been located to the lower rear portions of the front and rear fenders from dirt build up over the years and some minor rust along the hood braces on the outer metal have photos documenting the spots that are rusted on the truck contact directly for those pictures. This truck would present well with minimal work needing to be done to the body, it does however need the front lower and upper hood latch for the hood to stay closed but luckily the ford truck body parts of the same era will work and can be found reasonably easy. This truck does have a dump tilt bed hoist installed on it, and that’s the reason the bed sits higher up than normal this truck is a true barn find it sat in a barn for over 40 years with a steel water tank in the back they used it for watering horses and hauling square bales before it was purchased at an estate auction now the truck is currently up for auction on eBay
