Concours on the Avenue 2012
Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.
Downtown Carmel transforms itself into a great place to hold a car show twice during Auto Week. The first is on the Tuesday prior to Pebble Beach. The Concours on the Avenue is an excellent event to stroll among an excellent selection of cars while taking time to peek in all of the quaint shops along Ocean Avenue.

Interesting to find out all the show times AFTER the event.
Hey Horse,
You were just reading my mind…
For the record and so you can plan, the Concours is always the last Sunday in August, BUT the admission this year was $225 !! But. since its a charity event, it IS tax deductible. The cars displayed in downtown Carmel is FREE but there are so few of them from the show.
Pebble Beach is the third Sunday in August each year – FYI
I had an Alpha Duetto like the one pictured in red but mine was navy like the 275 GTB. I don’t recall ever seeing a 275 in convertible form.
The Tuesday event just started back up last year.
The events generally fall on the week of August 13th, not the end of the month. This year the Pebble Beach Concours was the 19th and the Quail Lodge the 17th. Both are ridiculously expensive but there are a number of no cost events that week. The best buy is the Historics at Laguna Seca, you get to see the cars, talk to the crew, and watch them race.
so different theories as to the dates.
Thank you for the help ?
I guess I’ll just get a motel6 room for the month, there should be plenty rooms available, right ?
SORRY, I was wrong. Its not on the last Sunday of the month, but usually around the 13 or so of August. The information above is correct.
