Can You Identify These Wheels?

From David S. – I’m an avid (daily) reader of your e-mails and hope to make a FIND/BUY in the near future. Thanks for doing such a great job. It’s a kick looking at our auto history through your posts. I inherited a pair of spoked wheels from my father, but have no idea what they go to. Can you give me a hint as how I can find out? They have 24 (x2) spokes on each side, 6-bolt pattern with 2.75″ spacing, 16.5″ diameter, and 4.8″ wide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like the wheel used on 1934-35 Chevrolet Master sedan. Also some 1/2-ton trucks.

Looks like 1934 or 35 Chevrolet to me. I could be wrong, though, since I know Fords better. Note that the Standards and Masters had different lug patterns, so Googling ‘1935 Chevrolet rim’ turns up a bunch of 5 lug rims too. Confusing to track down.
Way before my time, but I bet there is someone out here that can’t live without them. They look to be in great condition.
These are wheels off of a 1935 Chevrolet Knee Action Soft Top Sedan. I should know because this was my first automobile!! Sure wish that I had it now!! I am 70 and got this car while I was in high school ion 1961!!

Those measurements are unheard of. You do know that wheel width measurement is inside width, that is: between flanges. And wheel diameter is not outside diameter but the diameter where the tire bead seats, next to the flange. I would guess your wheel really is 15 x 4 and therefore not a size from the 30s or early 40s
I was going to say a 1935 Chevy,next were the artillery wheels. I have some of those,same lug pattern
I have another of these, the six lugs tell me GMC/Chebby p/u and I recall reading about the early p/u’s having 15″ wheels. Where are they?
