A Warehouse Full Of Classic Cars And Parts!

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

Barn Finds reader T.J. recently spotted this warehouse chock full of cars and parts for sale in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and we’d like to thank him right off the bat for bringing this large collection to our attention!  Not only is the number of cars here in the double-digits but additional parts galore are also included.  This might be right up your alley if you have plenty of storage space and enjoy tinkering with a variety of different autos at the same time.

The seller tells us he’s interested in selling the entire content as a lot, but if I could sway him to let go of just one car individually, it would have to be this beautiful black 1967 Jaguar Mark X.  This is the only offering we get to view outside of the warehouse, and although we get no specifics such as whether it’s currently running, just the completeness and exterior condition alone is enough to make me feel it’s a desirable example.

One of the newer rides is this 1989 Cadillac Allante, with the convertible top looking like it could use some new canvas, but the section of the body we can see appears solid.  Behind the Caddy is what the seller calls a 1955 Chrysler 300, but thanks go out to reader David Zornig for pointing out it’s actually a ’55 Imperial Newport, and while it’s showing some rust on the lower sections, I sure wouldn’t be disappointed to get this one as part of the package.

For fans of the finned era, how about this DeSoto?  This one is their Adventurer, and while the seller lists it as a 1959 model, I believe it’s a ‘60 based on the shape of the taillight openings, which are missing the lenses.

Perhaps a bit rougher than some of the others but certainly a cool find is this third-generation Ford Thunderbird, featuring a sleek and futuristic for-the-time body style.  This one appears to have been off the road for a while, but hopefully still has some decent bones to work with.

It may not be one of the heavier hitters, but this 1949 Chevrolet is kind of fun for having that nostalgic sun visor over the windshield.  The sale also includes shelves and floors full of miscellaneous parts which are shown in the video provided, plus some other cars including a pair of limos.  There’s also a seventies Cadillac Eldorado that’s not specifically mentioned but can be briefly seen in the video, so I’d inquire and make sure that’s also part of the deal.  If you’re ready to talk business, this lot of cars and parts can be found here on Facebook Marketplace, with the asking price set at $50,000.  What’s your favorite auto in this large collection?

That front clip in the rafters might be from a `55 300, but the white car behind the Allante is a `55 Imperial Newport, not to be confused with the Chrysler Windsor Newport.
The 300 did not have a script on the front fenders, and the side trim remained all one width.
    Yes the DeSoto is a `60 not a `59.

If I am correct Chrysler used the NEWPORT name for upscale two doors before it became the bottom line for Chryslers in 1961, filling the gap for the dropped DeSoto. Base Price $2964. Still Crazy for DeSotos after all These years!

What a fantastic find-not just the variety of American and European cars there but the huge variety of NOS parts too along with everything else in there. A real treasure trove for the right fiscally solvent gearhead. It’d be great to get an in depth close up.
$50K might not be too crazy a price to someone with the time, energy and outreach.

I was going to give you a Thumbs Up but apparently there’s some kind of glitch that won’t allow us to do that once we’ve left the feature and try to do so with later comments..
Unless it a PEBKAC issue I’m unaware of!

I’ve had the same issue, and while I haven’t tried it yet it just occurred to me that we should be able to do a workaround until/if they get it fixed by going into our browser’s settings and to “cookies” and then deleting the barn finds cookie before going back to the site. That way their software wouldn’t know we had been there previously and commented.

I wonder 🤔 how many LeBarons actually ever made it to Lebanon? Maybe Danny Thomas, proud of his heritage, might have driven one! 😉 😜

Has anybody seen the car collection parked under a highway overpass in Montreal? I have no idea if it is still there, as I last saw images about five years ago. IIRC, it may have been owned by John Scotti who owned a family of high-end dealerships in Montreal back in the day. Maybe a BF full-zoot member can check and post some images if available. I’m saving my money for when it is time to sell my 2nd Corvette on BF. They did a great job helping me sell my 1st C4 here. I just checked their site. You should too! Wow!

I just checked the Scotti site. Alive and well and probably a must see for any Barn Finder. They have four Callaway Corvettes for sale plus a whole lot more.

    It’s hard to tell if the T-bird is a ’61 or ’62, but it’s not a ’63. Not that it really matters…

I agree with Rex, the Tbird appears to be a 1961, not a ’63. The telltale sign is the ridges on the hood. The taillight insert bezel looks like a ’61 also.

I agree with Rex, the Tbird is not a ’63. If so it would have the side swoop mold from the front fender into the door ending near the ’63’s “hash marks”. The ridges on the hood indicate this one’s a ’61.

I hope someone saves the 1955 Imperial. It’s an important color combination It could be restored like new. Wow!

Yes, the 55 Chryslers and Imperials are my favorite. I would need to stop being a hoarder and make space in the garage. Trash day is tomorrow due to the holiday. Why am I inside? Dreaming is easier than throwing things away. I couldn’t buy the collection, though Pittsburgh is only a few hundred miles from me.

That is definitely a 1960 DeSoto ADVENTURER. Last full year for DeSoto with production ending November 1961 after producing 2,220 🤔 61 DeSotos. Apparently fewer people were ( as ads read in the late 50s) DRIVING a DeSoto Before You Decide. As a teenager, I actually wrote to DeSoto Division, which had been merged with Plymouth expressing my disappointment. I was surprised to receive a letter and a 61 DeSoto brochure from Thomas W Craig. I still have both. IF possible, I would definitely DECIDE on the DeSoto!

Good luck finding the ad on Craigslist–it’s comes up as Zuckerbucks..why do people use that site?? Us old-timers that are shopping don’t have anything to do with that site!

To Another Dave from another hoarding pack rat. While not cars, I have three waste containers filled with 50s and up wheel discs. So much easier to kick back and find what’s here in the BARN. Let the LABOR wait for Another DAY. 👍 BTW, I am currently clearing out the Last of my storage units. At one time I had six. 😲 filled with various items. Best to you!
